Earlier this year, Hog Roast Wallingford was contacted by Ian, the manager of a local hotel. The hotel is hosting a formal ball in its beautiful function room, with the goal of raising money for a wonderful local charity. The ball will be a great way to fundraise whilst also being an incredibly enjoyable evening, complete with live entertainment, a black-tie dress code, and a delicious formal dining menu. For the catering, Hog Roast Wallingford will be serving our delicious formal dining package, which will be a great fit with the theme for the evening.
Our catering will begin with canapes served as the guests arrive at the venue. The canapes will include succulent duck breast, an Indian selection, and mini pizzas, which can be enjoyed whilst the guests settle in and mingle. Later in the evening, we will be serving our classic slow-roasted hog alongside all of the trimmings. The succulent pork will be accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and rich red wine gravy. This will combine to create a hearty and delicious main meal, with more than enough to go around. Finally, for dessert, the guests can enjoy sticky toffee pudding or chocolate torte, with each dish accompanied by English cream and fresh berries. The desserts will be perfect for ending the meal and preparing the guests for an evening of entertainment.
