Hog Roast Wantage is renowned for our signature food, either served as hog roast rolls (which we call pigs in buns) or as part of a plated meal, where you choose the potatoes and seasonal vegetables for us to accompany your meat, crackling, sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. We spent a long time perfecting them and use our own hand-built stainless steel wonders in order to cook our hog roasts slowly but surely over several hours, until we get golden, crispy crackling and moist and tender meat, and they’re a taste sensation loved by many.
Nevertheless, we’re also known for offering a great amount of choice and variety too, and that’s because we’re all-inclusive as we want everyone to be able to eat and enjoy what we make, regardless of personal tastes or dietary needs. So if you’re inviting any guests who would prefer different meat, such as spit-roasted beef sirloin, English lamb, turkey or chicken, or if anyone needs a dish to suit their diet, like meat-free or gluten-free, our Hog Roast Wantage experts will cater with gorgeous alternatives like vegan pulled jackfruit (which is a worthy rival of our pulled pork!) which we serve in a bun and with slaw on the side, or vegetarian grilled skewers with a rainbow of vegetables and chunks of halloumi, which come with both Tzatziki and sweet chilli. We can even make our famous pigs in buns gluten-free if you let us know in advance.
