Happy 80th Birthday From Hog Roast Berryfields

Hog Roast Berryfields was delighted to serve up their formal hog roast dining experience for the lovely Caroline who was turning 80. What a feast she was having. Hog Roast Berryfields’s formal dining experience is basically a five-course dining extravaganza starting with heavenly bitesize appetisers through to tea and coffee to finish. Hog Roast Berryfields

As Caroline’s guests arrived, they enjoyed a variety of scrumptious canapés. Caroline had chosen the fillet of beef, gourmet sausage, chicken parfait, beer-battered fish and chips and a selection of quiches. The Chicken Parfait seemed to be the favourite with the guests, it entailed a garlic croute, smothered with chicken liver pate and topped with red onion marmalade – yum!

At 6pm the guests filtered into the most magnificent manor house and served a delicious and delicate Scottish Smoked Salmon starter. Colourful seasonal leaves dressed the plate, a scoop of fresh mashed avocado topped with Atlantic prawns and a drizzle of Bloody Mary sauce went down, before a smoked salmon swirl finishes the dish with a squirt of delightful dill and mustard dressing. Hog Roast Berryfields served the started with a basket of brown bread on each table and salted butter.

Hog Roast BerryfieldsOnce the starters were cleared, Hog Roast Berryfields invited the guests up for the main course. Caroline had selected Lamb and Chicken. The Chickens had been seasoned with thyme, lemon zest and sea salt, the whole-roasted lamb had been rubbed with fresh rosemary and garlic. Both meats were slow cooked ensuring moist meat and incredible flavour. The tender meats were served with Yorkshire puddings, creamy Dauphinoise potatoes, butcher chipolata sausages, tasty sage and onion stuffing, classic Caesar salad (this is Caroline’s favourite), crunchy homemade coleslaw and sweet and enjoyable tomato and mozzarella salad.

Caroline is known for her sweet tooth and for dessert she had chosen fruity summer pudding where red berries are enveloped in soft white bread and Tarte Au Citron, light and refreshing treat served with raspberry coulis and seasonal berries.

Everyone commented how pleasant for the food and service had been as Hog Roast Berryfields finished the serve with tea and coffee to tables.
