Hog Roast Woodstock’s caterers had lots of fun cooking and serving one of our epic set menus at a joint birthday bash, which took place over the weekend! Twin sisters, Serena and Kirsten, were turning 25, and to celebrate the milestone occasion, the pair had worked together to plan a huge party that all of their loved ones had been invited to attend. But before we tell you how well the day went, let’s first rewind the clock back a bit to when the clients first approached us.
After receiving confirmations from over 200 invites they had sent out, the girls quickly realised they needed the help of professionals if they were going to be able to stop their guests from going hungry. And after doing a quick bit of research, they were relieved to discover Hog Roast Woodstock.
Our team of all-rounders were available right when Serena and Kirsten needed us to be, and, eager to help, our catering manager, Lee, quickly set to work on finding the perfect menu plan for the girls’ big day. This menu just so happened to be our Southern Slow Roast, which offers three tantalising meat options, as well as a veggie/vegan-friendly alternative, plus lots of sensational sides, as well.
Both Serena and Kirsten instantly agreed that it would be perfect for their event, and with so much variety on offer, their hope was that all of the guests would be able to find something suited to their specific tastes. They were right, of course!
With delicious Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, BBQ pork butt, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, and vegan pulled BBQ jackfruit rolls to choose from, the guests were in their element! The mains were made even better by the salad, mac and cheese, mixed fries and crunchy coleslaw that were included as side options, which allowed the guests to create custom flavour combos.
Getting Hog Roast Woodstock involved was the right call, and everyone was in awe of the lip-smacking flavours that our catering team presented on the day. For the big finale, Lee sliced and served the twins’ birthday cake with fresh berries and cream for the elated group.
