Hog Roast Highworth’s latest event was a beautiful wedding reception. Clients Lee and Chloe were having a beautiful outdoor festival/firework vintage theme celebration for their wedding celebration. They knew immediately that they wanted the Hog Roast Highworth team to be the caterers for their special event.
Clients Lee and Chloe worked closely with the team to come up with a hot buffet menu for their special day. As part of their catering package the Hog Roast Highworth team provided the food, disposable crockery and cutlery and Chef Matthew to prepare all the dishes fresh at the venue.
The venue for the party was a large field, but Chloe and Lee did lots to decorate it. Fairy lights were strung up between the bare branches of the trees, there was a brilliant bonfire and lots of sparklers and buckets of water dotted around. The outdoor venue may not have been a traditional set up for a wedding celebration but it was certainly breath-taking.
There was plenty of space for Chef Matthew to set up the catering gazebo, lights and cooking equipment in the large outdoor venue. He got straight to work producing the buffet for 5pm.
The main attraction at the buffet table was the slow spit roasted turkey that was served with fresh cranberries and sage and onion stuffing. There was of course also a delicious vegetarian alternative of vegetarian lasagne. Alongside this there was also large platters of perfectly cooked, piping hot seasonal vegetables and a large platter of warm new potatoes in an herb butter. Finishing off the buffet was a basket of wraps and rolls as well as a selection of sauces and dips.
Newlyweds Chloe and Lee were thrilled with the buffet! They and their 28 guests tucked into the food with great eagerness.
After the food had been enjoyed Chef Matthew quietly gathered up all of the rubbish, which would be disposed of by the team in a safe and responsible manner. The event was exciting and full of love, the team felt uniquely privileged to be a part of such a special day.
