Tim and Rob are cousins who were born within the same week in December, so they have often chosen to enjoy joint birthday parties and celebrations. This year the pair is turning 50, so they are hosting a joint party to celebrate this milestone birthday. The party is taking place at a local function room and is set to include an 80s theme, with a dress code, music from that decade, and themed decorations. Alongside the entertainment, Hog Roast Little Wittenham has been hired to cater for the occasion with our classic hog roast menu. We were asked to serve the menu to 130 guests, which is not a problem for our team since this menu is efficient to serve, as well as being incredibly delicious!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Little Wittenham team arrived at the venue in the afternoon and began to prepare for the 9:00pm serving time. We started our prep by slow-roasting the hog for over five hours and allowing it to cook to perfection. It was carved before serving and enjoyed in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages in hot dog rolls. For the side dishes, the guests enjoyed homemade chips, sweet potato fries, a selection of fresh salad options, and corn croquettes. Overall, our menu had something for every guest to enjoy and more than enough to go around, making it the perfect addition to this great event!
